You are my closest friend, the intimate thoughts of my heart. It is to you I lay bare my soul, and it is in your hands I place the beatings of my spirit. You have drawn out the thoughts and passions which have burned within me. The thoughts of my deepest – the pangs of inner heart which arise in strength to the bidding of love – those undiscovered streams of yearning – answer only to your love, to your soul, to your face, to your voice. The soul in all its reality moves as a river through this love which binds us and brings us to the glassy sea of unity, lifting itself to heaven, and in this shines a light which glorifies through all the imperfections of our scarred world.

You are the one who gives me your hand, the one I join on your journey to the high places and whom I cradle in your low valleys. Your highest ambitions are the ones I feel, greatest dreams the ones I know, and deepest desires the ones I hear. You are the one with whom I worship.

We are imperfect companions for each other.

A companion who listens. A companion who understands – understands humanness, understands difficulties. A companion who encourages. A companion who strengthens. A companion who warns. A companion who shares. We are each this companion to the other. You share your deepest joys, deepest sorrows, deepest struggles, deepest anxieties, and deepest happiness’.
